The Few Who Stayed

The halls of the school kids were plenty
Easy to get in a riot
But now they are empty
Save for a few, the halls are quiet
Autumn, Deserae, Amber too
These kinds of days there's rarely more
Classrooms with the usual 22
Now have only 3 or 4
I am one who lingers
Though the school day is done
No pencil between my fingers
When we leave an hour 15 after 1
Not the usual students displayed
We are the few who stayed
